Testing and Analysis of Composite Stilt Leg

1 Introduction

            This report contains testing results and an analysis of the behavior of composite stilt leg. The composite stilt leg are hollow Aluminum tubes filled with Urethane over a portion of length. The tubes are made of 2024-T3 Aluminum alloy and have a square cross-section of 1 inch by 1 inch and a wall thickness of 0.050 inches. These composite tubes are to be used in load-bearing of stilt which allow the stilt-walker to roll hell-to-toe, as in walking on the ground

2 Properties of the Tested Components

         The dimensions and properties of the tested components are shown in Figure 1, Table 1, and Table 2.
